an important and major part of disease spectrum at CENTRAL HOSPITA KALLA. As
we are successfully running mechanical ventilation, post ventilator respiratory
support becomes a matter of paramount importance. Bilevel Positive Airway
Pressure Machine ( BiPAP) would not only help in managing cases of Chronic
Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases and Respiratory failure but would also help in
providing post ventilator respiratory support. This would benefit the patients in a
comprehensive manner.

A note sheet for opening ICU adjacent to Dialysis Unit at CH Kalla is already in
process. BiPAP would thus, also play an important part in managing critical cases
with compromised respiratory functions. Going by the number of patients requiring
BiPAP at CH Kalla in IPD, we would be requiring 3 such BiPAP machines.

The approximate cost of a BiPAP would be around 83,500Rs/-(EIGHTY THREE

THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED RUPEES) excluding VAT/CST which would be 5%
additional. Budgetary quotation for abovementioned price justification is attached
along with the notesheet.
