I. Standard Competencies
At the end of the lesson, the learners must be able to:
a. Illustrate area as a measure of how much surface is covered occupied by
plane figure.

The teacher will show the different type of shapes including square,
rectangle, triangle, trapezoid.

The teacher will discuss about the surface covered to occupy the plane figure.

2. What is the formula to be use to find the area?
The teacher will choose an object and the students will measure length and
the width of the object.
Activity 1: List down 5 objects that is an example of a plane figure inside the
classroom.

The teacher will ask the learners to give insights about the lesson learned.
