SKILLS PROFILE
Leadership & In 2008 I volunteered to become a member of the Sports Council in my school. This
Teamwork Skills: role involved sacrificing lunch breaks to distribute sports equipment and supervising
sports activities. I participated in a N.E.S.T. (Nurturing Excellence in Student
Teachers) programme in my final year at college to provide assistance and advice
for future teachers. This really helped develop leadership and teamwork skills,
working in groups.

Computer Skills: I am proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Solidworks,
Moodle and VSware.

Communication & I have trained in communications using Microteaching techniques and participated in
Oracy Skills: communications training with Connemara fm Radio. As part of college assignments,
I have participated in public speaking and college debates.

Innovation & Creativity: I presented an innovative approach to field trips in the classroom at the G.M.I.T.
Letterfrack 25 years of Excellence and Innovation exhibition in Farmleigh. As part
of my thesis research I have developed a toolkit for teachers to associate different
strengths and weaknesses with personality types for more productive learning.
