Supporting Bible Translation in Papua New Guinea Spring 2017

DRIGGERS DAYS
Youth Ministry | Teen Centre | Fleet Management

Youth Ministry
Big changes are on the horizon
for the Youth Ministries
department. Due to staffing
needs, beginning in July, the
department will begin
ministering to grade six in
addition to grades seven
through twelve.

Teen Centre
Sara is the adult manager for
approximately forty teens
working at Teen Centre, a
community centre that ministers Middle School Retreat
to the missionaries of Ukarumpa. On February 3-5 the Youth Ministries department hosted a Middle
Her and her team of students School retreat for grades seven and eight. The theme for the

school year and look forward to together with an amazing team of volunteers to minster to twenty

our community to eat out) and Bible study. God is actively pursuing these incredible youth and they

Over the past few months, Marty

what lies ahead

The last eleven weeks of the school year will quickly slip by and be
filled to capacity with important events, hard transitions and final
goodbyes. Please join us in praying for these things as we lead up to a
very exciting, yet dicult time of year for our community:
Biannual PNG Branch conference on March 16-23
Taylors CNA exam and nursing externship interview and both
Taylor and Tias spring break in Lynchburg on March 13-19
a family together for Mission trip with 27 students to minister at Lae City Mission
Christmas through construction and visiting an orphanage on March 24-28
Everything Sale preparations and sale on 1-8 April
By Gods gracious provision, Taylor and Tia
were able to visit for three weeks during
Youth missions team outreach to local valley church in April
Christmas. We spent one week at the coast Martys trip to Port Moresby for fleet business on April 24-26
and then two weeks in Ukarumpa together. SAT exam for Miriam on May 6
We enjoyed lots of hugs, laughter, tears, Banquet preparations and event on May 19-29
meals, long talks, family movie nights, and Grade six graduation for Jade on June 9
snuggles. We relished the time spent together
High school exams on June 5-9
after a year and a half apart. The few weeks
Class of 2017 high school graduation on June 13
with the family together for Christmas have
given us refreshment to face the next year and
a half until we are reunited again.
We ask that as you remember us here in
Papua New Guinea you remember Taylor and
Tia in Virginia as well. Being far away is the
hardest thing we have ever done, but knowing
they are loved, cared and prayed for by you all
is invaluable to us and our ministry. We are
forever grateful for the active investment so
many make in all of our lives to continue in
supporting the ministry of Bible translation.
We are a team, held together at the core by a
God who provides. Thank you for your faithful
partnerships and prayers.

Until all have heard,

Marty, Sara and all those girls
