112 Two of those specific conditions are position
and dimension, which distinguished architecture
from the pure geometry, from the abstract
form (Corts 1991). They break the ideal
isolation of form. Position is associated to
gravity as a force, as a primary direction of man
standing. Dimension leads to scale, the dynamic
relationship of the object with the subject and its
environment. These are conditions that connect
in different ways with the place.

Thinking about abstraction as a creative impulse,
we can see how it acts on objects according
to two possibilities. Firstly to accomplish this
closed material individuality by exclusion of the
representation of space and by exclusion of all
subjective adulteration. The second possibility
was to deliver the object from its relativity and
eternalise it (Worringer 1953). In other words
the process of abstraction must take the object
out of its place and time, release it, and to find
its idealization.
According to what has been said, we will study
the meaning of such conditions of release
within the project. We will use drawings of the
architects themselves. These drawings are not
necessarily abstract, but they are explanatory
sketches, which expose the estrangement that
abstraction causes in the observer.
