designs, manufactures, and markets consumer electronics products personal

computers, portable music players, cell phones - as well as related software services. Apple sells

its products worldwide and provides support through its website and at more than 250 retail

stores.

Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak co-founded Apple on April 1, 1976. Initially, they planned to

design a simple micro-computer kit called Apple I, the company's first product. Apple was

incorporated as Apple Computer Inc. The Apple II. In 1984, Apple released the Macintosh,

which provided advanced graphics capabilities. Between 1984 and 1985, Apple's net income fell

17% due to poor sales of Macintosh Computer. From 1994 to 1997. After two changes in CEO

during 1993 to 1996, the Apple Board of Directors brought Steve Jobs back as CEO in July

1997. In May 2001, Apple opened the first official Apple retail stores. In 2008, Apple had more

Hewlett-Packard Company (HP) is a global provider of personal systems, imaging and printing

products, and technology solutions. HP Company was promoted in January 1939 by Bill Hewlett

and Dave Packard, classmates at Stanford University. Hewlett-Packard was formally

incorporated on August 18, 1947. Hewlett-Packard was listed on New York Stock Exchange for

In 1962 HP entered the Fortune 500 list at position 460. In 1974 HP introduced worlds first

programmable pocket calculator. In 1980 HP manufactured its first PC named HP-85. In 1982,

HP-75C debuted as the first handheld computer and in 1983 the first touch screen PC was

devised. In 1994, the first HPs official personal printer-fax-copier was introduced. In 2002 HP

and Compaq merged together and subsequently the companys stock symbol changed to HPQ. In
2011, HP introduced the industries first wireless mouse. In 2013, HP came with the

revolutionary HP data protector 8.1.

Dell Company is an American multinational information technology corporation based in Round

Rock, Texas, and United States that develops, sells and supports computers and related products

and services. It is one of the largest technological corporation in the world, employing more than

103,300 people worldwide. (Sim, Angela, Lee, 2011)

It was founded by Michael Dell, in 1984. In 1985, the company produced its first indigenous

design - the "Turbo PC". The company changed its name to "Dell Computer Corporation" in

1988. In 1996, Dell became one of the pioneers of the internet sales. On February 27, 2008, Dell

became the first computer company to join The Climate Group, highlighting the company's

In 2010, Del enters the tablet arena. In 2011, Dell acquire compel lent, a rapid growing storage

solution provider, to expand their enterprise storage portfolio.
