EMERGENCY PROCEDURES The following procedures are related in a logical order, an
d should be implemented as a priority and staff available to care for victims.
1. PRIMARY ANALYSIS: Whenever there is suspicion of a principle of fire (heat, s
mell,
smoke or other means), it should be investigated. It should never be underestima
ted suspicion.
2. ALARM: When detected a principle of real fire, must be triggered the fire ala
rm
manual that has a break-glass type buttonhole on each floor by the door of the e
mergency exit.
3. SECONDARY ANALYSIS: After identifying the victim to walk (at the central pane
l), the alarm
should be muted and the Civil Professional Firefighters on duty, you should go t
o the site for analysis of emergency. 4. CUTTING ENERGY: If necessary, should be
arranged to cut the power (partial or total). The general court shall be execut
ed by the staff of Maintenance, which should be available to the Chief of Brigad
e. 5. FIRE STATION: A brigade will operate the Fire Department provide the follo
wing information: - - - - - name and phone number used; address Condominium (com
plete), reference points (corner of Rua da Paz), the characteristics of fire , q
uantity and condition of any victims, and when the existence of serious victim a
nd the fire is controlled, should be informed of the existence of the helipad on
the roof for possible rescue by helicopter.
-
6. ABANDONMENT: If you need to leave the building, should the alarm be triggered
again
fire that starts the widespread neglect. The occupants of the floor injured, who
should already be aware of the emergency, should be the first to fall in line a
nd without turmoil, after the first ring, with a brigade head of the queue and a
nother ending the same. All other occupants
each floor should, after first sounding the alarm, group together in the lobby e
levators, arranged in a line directed toward the emergency exit door should be k
ept open longer. After the second ring of the alarm, the floors will begin the d
escent, giving preference to other queues, when crossed with the same (as in a t
raffic roundabout) until discharge (ground floor), where he will move to the sid
ewalk and give back to the block, positioning itself as arrival. At this time, a
brigade will call to verify absences for further investigation and report immed
iately, the position of walking on the sidewalk and the other amendments to the
Head of the Brigade. 7. FIRST AID: Should be rendered first aid to any victims a
s specific training given to Brigaders. 8. COMBAT: The other Brigaders start, as
necessary and / or possible, the fire fighting under command of the Professiona
l Firefighters Civil and may be aided by other occupants of the floor. The fire
fighting should be done as specific training given to Brigaders. 9. GUIDANCE: Th
e same brigadista that triggered the fire department, preferably, should guide t
hem when on arrival and present them to the Head of the Brigade. 10. REPORT: Aft
er you complete control of the emergency and return to normalcy, including the r
elease of the Condominium authorities, the head of the brigade should prepare a
written report on the accident and the actions of containment, for appropriate a
ction and / or research , official or otherwise.
(FOR DISCUSSION AND INSERTING IN STANDARD)
1 Resources Materials Design, install and maintain equipment and devices in acco
rdance with technical standards and legislation, such as hydrant system, fire ex
tinguishers, fire detection and fire alarm, emergency exits, emergency lighting,
signage, etc. . 2 Human Resources Hiring firefighters needed (if required), sel
ect and train the brigade, both according to their respective technical standard
s, organizing, along with support groups (maintenance, property security, etc.),
an organization chart, where each element and / or group will have its specifie
d function and / or area of expertise. This tool should be available to all occu
pants of the building, totally or partially. 3 Procedures Develop a roadmap of s
pecific procedures for building the object of the plan, they should be viewed th
e following items: location, construction, occupation, population, etc.. Should
be addressed the following basic procedures related logically as if only one per
son were to run: - - - - - - - - - alert (alarm) analysis of the first aid cutof
f energy (total or partial) abandonment of the area ( total or partial) isolatio
n of the area devastated containment of the fire fighting (extinction) of the fi
re investigation (survey of causes)
A flow chart should be prepared for quick understanding. These procedures must b
e issued to firefighters (if have), brigades and support groups during their tra
ining and regular meetings. Should be discussed in talks fast (about 15 minutes
per month) for the population of the building, aiming to steer up to 80%, with a
n emergency, the 20% who were instructed not to be treated as floating populatio
n, resulting in same, whereas it is almost impossible to maintain 100% in constr
uction (vacation, hiring, resignations, removals, etc.).€For the procedures for
first aid and fire fighting should be conducted and specific training courses.
For the abandonment of the area should be followed the following route: Training
of firefighters, brigade and support group lectures quick release one day with
time and date marked (exercise fixation) 2nd day only due date (elevation of the
general involvement) 3rd day without date or scheduled hours (simulated situati
on involving almost close to real)
