Beginning the Lesson
1. Continue Previous Activity: Students will continue their literature circle book
Developing the Lesson
1. Read Aloud and Take Notes: Teacher will ask the student to take their English
Workbook and write Descriptive Words as the title. Then teacher will give an
instruction about the activity that the students will do:
a. Listen and Write: Teacher will read one section of the story (tagged by a
subtitles) once and ask them to listen. Also teacher can pause for some
seconds to let them imagine the character that they have just heard. Ask their
opinion for some of the part. Then let them to open their English Workbook
and ask them to list all of the descriptive words that they heard in this one
section. IF THEY ARE DONE, ASK THEM TO CLOSE THEIR BOOK
AND PUT THEIR HANDS ON THEIR HEAD. Teacher will read page (7
sections):
b. Transition: Ask the students to go to their table and get their color pencils or
markers. Then give them the worksheet to draw.
c. Listen and Draw: Teacher will read one section of the story (tagged by a
subtitles) once and ask them to listen. Again the teacher will read the story for

the second time but now the students need to list the words and draw the
character. Teacher will read page (3 sections, one sections 3 minutes to draw):

Closing the Lesson


1. Guess Who?:
i. Teacher will divide the students into 3 groups.
ii. Each of the group will get a paper full of character pictures with each
characters name.
iii. Teacher will choose one of the characters without telling the character
name.
iv. These two groups will take turn to ask one question regarding the person
characteristic in order to guess which character that the teacher chose.
STUDENTS CAN ONLY ASK A YES OR NO QUESTION. For
example, Is he bald? or Is she wearing glasses?
v. Each group will also get a chance to guess the character after each of their
question. BUT THERE IS ONLY ONE CHANCE FOR STUDENTS TO
GUESS.
vi. The group that scores the most will win.
