L.: O Jesus
Come, O Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and enkindle
in them the fire of Your love.
Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be created. And You
shall renew the face of the earth.
Accept, most Holy Trinity, this sacrifice fulfilled one time by the
divine Word and now renewed in this altar by the hands of Your
priest. I unite myself to the intentions of Jesus Christ, priest and
victim, that I may entirely offer for Your glory and salvation of
men. I intend through Jesus Christ, with Jesus Christ and in
Jesus Christ, to adore Your eternal majesty, to thank Your
immense goodness, to satisfy our offended justice, and beseech
Your mercy for the Church, for my dear ones and for myself.
Lord, Father all powerful, and ever living God, I thank You,
for even though I am a sinner, Your unprofitable servant, not
because of my worth, but in the kindness of Your mercy, You have
fed me with the precious Body and Blood of Your Son, our Lord
Jesus Christ. I pray that this Holy Communion may not bring me
condemnation and punishment but forgiveness and salvation.
May it be a helmet of faith and shield of goodwill. May it purify me
from evil ways, and put an end to my evil passions. May it bring
charity and patience, humility and obedience, and growth in the
power to do good. May it be my strong defense against all my
enemies, visible and invisible, the perfect calming of all my evil
impulses, bodily and spiritual. May it unite me more closely to
You, the one true God, and lead me safely through death to
everlasting happiness with You. And I pray that You will lead me,
a sinner, to the banquet where You with Your Son and Holy Spirit,
are true and perfect light, total fulfillment, everlasting joy,
gladness without end, and perfect happiness to Your saints.
Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
My good and dear Jesus, I kneel before You, asking You most
earnestly to engrave upon my heart a deep and lively faith, hope
and charity, with true repentance for my sins, and a firm to
resolve to make amends. As I reflect upon Your five wounds and
dwell upon them with deep compassion and grief, I recall, good
Jesus, the words the prophet David spoke long ago concerning
yourself, they have pierced my hands and my feet, they have
counted all my bones!

Tuesday:
AND
This little rosary of the Blessed Virgin is intended to proclaim our faith as we
find it expressed in the Apostles Creed. We do this while calling to mind the
scene in the Cenacle when the Apostles devoted themselves to constant prater.
There were some women in their company, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and
his brothers (Acts 1: 14)
V. In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
R. Amen.
After the announcement of each article of the Apostles Creed, a brief reading
taken from among the following selections of the works of St. Augustine, There
follows a brief silence, then the Our Father and Hail Mary is recited.
And what is this, I asked the earth, it responded: I am not God; when I
asked the waters and the deep, they responded: We are not your God.
Look above us. When I asked the heavens, the sun, the moon, the stars:
Nor are we the God you seek, they said. To all of them I said: Speak to
me of my God. If you are not he, tell me something about him. Loudly they
exclaimed: It is he who made us. The heavens, the earth, and everything
that is in them, all these things tell me to love you.
I am the way, the truth and the life. It is by me that you come; it is I that
you come to, and in me you remain. How do you wish to go? I am the way.
Where do you wish to go? I am the truth. Where do you wish to remain? I
am the life. Christ as God is the fatherland where we are going; Christ as
man is the way we must travel.
3. Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
Oh, incredible kindness and mercy! He was the only Son, but he did not
want to remain alone. In order that men might be born of God, God first
was born of men. He had to seek on earth only a mother, since his Father he
already had in heaven. Begotten of God is he through whom we were
created; born of a woman is he through whom we are to be recreated. The
Word first wished to be born of man, so that you might be assured of being
born of God.
4. suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried.
From the work of our Father Saint Augustine on Johns Gospel
Exalted is the fatherland, humble is the way. The fatherland is the life of
Christ, his death is the way. The fatherland is above where Christ dwells
with the Father, his suffering is the way. If anyone rejects the way, how can
he seek the fatherland?
Wonderful is the fact that, even though he ascended above the heavens, he
remain close to those who are still living on earth. Who is this one who is so
far away and yet so near, if not he who out of merciful goodness became our
brother?
Believe firmly what you believe - that he will return. What does it matter
when? Prepare yourself for his coming. Put aside curiosity and develop
trusting love. What does it matter when? Love as though he was coming
today and you will not fear his coming.
This excellent guest finds you empty and fills you, he finds you hungry and
thirsty and satisfies you abundantly. God the Holy Spirit, who comes from
God, when he enters into a man, draws him into the love of God and
neighbor. Indeed, he is love itself.
Mary gave birth to your head and the Church gave birth to you. The
Church too is a mother and a virgin mother because she is made of love,
virgin because of the integrity of her faith.
From the work of our Father Saint Augustine on the Discourses on the Psalms
Driven out of paradise by you, and exiled in a distant land, by myself I
cannot return, unless you come to meet me in my wandering. My return is
based on hope in your mercy during all of my earthly life. My only hope,
the only source of consolation, the only solid promise is your mercy.
As Christ took on what he needed to die for you, so will you take on what
you need to live with him. Where did he take on his mortality? In the
virginity of his mother. Where will you take on life? In his equality with the
Father.
From the work of our Father Saint Augustine the City of God
There, we shall be at rest, and we shall see, we shall see and we shall love,
we shall love and we shall praise. The end of our desires will be he who can
be admired without end, can be loved with our being bored, can be praised
without our becoming tired.
Hail, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope.
To you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to you do we send up our
sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.
Turn then, most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy toward us;
and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus.
O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
V. Pray for us, holy Mother of God.
R. That we may be made worthy of promises of Christ.
Let us pray. Lord Jesus Christ, Father of mercies and God of every consolation,
grant, we pray, that your faithful, who rejoice in the protection of the holy
Virgin Mary ,Mother of Consolation, may, by her motherly intercession,
be freed from all evils in this life and be worthy of coming to the eternal joy of
heaven, where you live and reign forever and ever.
R. Amen.
PERPETUAL NOVENA
In Honor of
OUR LADY OF MT. CARMEL DE SAN SEBASTIAN
(Every Tuesday)
OPENING HYMN
READINGS:
Galatians 4:4-7
But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born
under the law,to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to
sonship.Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts,
the Spirit who calls out,''Abba,Father. So you are no longer a slave, but Gods
child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.
(Alternative:
Revelation 12:1-7
A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon
under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant and
cried out in painas she was about to give birth. Then another sign appeared in
heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven
crowns on its heads.ts tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung
them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to
give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born. She gave
birth to a son,a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron
scepter. And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne. The woman
fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be
taken care of for 1,260 days.)

ACT OF CONSECRATION
O Mary, Queen of all Saints, who art the beauty of Carmel, how sweet it is for
me to venerate thee under the title of Our Lady of Mount Carmel De San
Sebastian. Even from the days of the Apostles, thou hast been honored under this
mystic title,I am filled with joy as I consecrate myself to thee,O holy Mary, most
unworthy though I am to be thy servant, yet touched by thy motherly care for
me and longing to serve thee, in the presence of my Guardian Angel and the
court of Heaven,I choose thee this day to be my Queen,my Advocate, and my
Mother, and I firmly purpose to serve thee ever more and to do what I can that
all may render faithful service to thee. Therefore, most devoted Mother, through
the Precious Blood thy Son poured out for me, and through the promises of thee
as Our Lady of Mount Carmel De San Sebastian,I beg thee, deign to take me
among thy clients and receive me as thy servant forever.O beauty of
Carmel, glory of Libanus, thou purest of lilies, mystic rose in the garden of the
Church, I salute thee! O Virgin of virgins, be mindful of me in my misery, and
show thyself my Mother. Shed upon me ever more and more the living light of
that faith which made thee blessed; inflame with that Heavenly love wherewith
thou didst love thy dear Son, Jesus Christ.Do thou, Mother of God, who hast
such power and might, obtain for me from blessed Jesus, the Heavenly gifts of
humility, chastity, and meekness, which were the fairest ornaments of thine
Immaculate soul. Do thou grant me to be strong in the midst of the temptations
and bitterness which so often overwhelm my spirit.Aid me in every action, and
beg for me the grace, never, by word or deed or thought, to be displeasing in thy
sight and that of thy most holy Son.Think of me my dearest Mother, and desert
me not at the hour of death. Amen. [Kiss your scapular.]

ACT OF REPARATION
Priest and People: Divine Savior of souls With countenances covered with
confusion, weprostrate ourselves in Your sovereign presence. Our eyes turn to-
ward the solitary tabernacle where You, imprisoned, sigh for our love.
Heartbroken, we grieve at the sight o You forgotten by those whom You have
redeemed; Your Blood made void, Your sacrifices fruitless, Your love derided.
Yet, since in Your infinite condescension, You permit us tonight to unite our
sighs with Yours, our tears with the tears, which for our sake fell from those
most sacred eyes and with the drops of blood which poured out from Your
Divine Heart, we pray to You, Sweet Jesus, for those who do not pray to You;
we bless You in place of those who curse You; we adore You for those who
outrage You. With every power of our souls, in all the moments of this night,
and before all the tabernacles of the world, in union with the efficacious desires
of Your loving Heart, we wish to bless and praise You
PRAYER FOR THE DYING
Priest: O Most merciful Jesus, burning with love for souls, we pray, by the

People
:Have mercy on the dying.
AN ACT OF REPARATION TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS
Priest and People: Adorable Heart of Jesus, glowing with love for us and
inflamed with zeal forour salvation! O Heart, ever sensible of our misery and the
wretchedness to which our sins have reduced us, infinitely rich in mer-cy to heal
the wounds of our souls! Behold us humbly prostrate before You to express the
sorrow that fills our hearts for the coldness and indifference with which we have
so long requited the numberless benefits You have conferred upon us. With a
deep sense of the outrages heaped upon You by our sins and the sins of others,
we come to make a solemn reparation of ho-nor to Your Most Sacred Majesty. It
was our sins that overwhelmed Your Heart with bitterness; it was the weight of
our iniquities that pressed down Your face to the earth in the Garden of
Olivesand caused You to expire in anguish and agony on the Cross. But now,
repenting and sorrowful, we cast our selves at Your feet and implore
forgiveness.
Adorable Heart of Jesus, source of true contrition and ever merciful to the
penitent sinner, impart to our hearts the spirit of penance, and give to our eyes a
fountain of tears that we may sincerely bewail our sins, now, and for the rest of
our days. O would that we could blot them out even with our blood!
Pardon them, O Lord, in Your mercy, and pardon and convert to You all that
have committed irreverences and sacrileges against You in the Sacrament of
Your love, and thus give another proof that Your mercy is above all Your works.
Divine Jesus, with You there is mercy and plentiful redemption. De-liver us
from our sins. Accept the sincere desire we now entertain and our holy
resolution, relying on the assistance of Your grace, henceforth to be faithful to
You. And, in order to repair the sins and ingratitude by which we have grieved
Your most tender and loving Heart we are resolved in the future ever to love and
honor You in the most adorable Sacrament of the altar, where You are ever
present to hear and grant our petitions and to be the food and life of our souls.
Be, O compassionate Jesus, our mediator with Your heavenly Father whom we
have so grievously offended. Strengthen our weakness, confirm our resolutions
of amendment, and as Your Sacred Heart is our refuge and our hope when we
have sinned, so may It be the strength and support of our repentance, that
nothing in life or death may ever again separate us from You. Amen.
