Abstrak
Introduction

Daerah sepanjang pantai selatan Jawa dikenal memiliki

Sand iron is one impotant mineral resource that used as a
potensi endapan pasir besi yang cukup besar. Diantara
raw material for Iron Steel Industrial. In Indonesia, areas
daerah-daerah tersebut salah satunya berada di daerah
along the southern coast of Java, known to have the

deposits existence in this area are generally derived from

volcanic products volcanic which located in the north. Iron First line
sand depositions are then transported through the rivers that
end along the southern coast of Java. Among the areas that
have the potential of iron sand deposits are one of them in
coastal areas in Pantai Goa Cemara, Sanden district, Bantul
regency, province of Yogyakarta Special Region.

Pantai Goa Cemara is located approximately 20 km to the

south of the city of Yogyakarta. Morphologically of study
area such as sand dune coastal plains and regional

Conclusions

Third line Based on analysis result can be simplified that pantai Goa
Cemara, Sanden district, Bantul regency, province of
Yogyakarta Special Region has potential of iron sand with
the following details:

1. Distribution of iron sand deposits are found along the

line on the form of both lenses or spotted based on the
results of geophysical measurements seen from the
resistivity showing indication of iron sand with resistivity
range value of 100 - 700 m.

2. The thickness of iron sand in the study area ranges of 0.5
