Procedure

2 Method
2.1 Measure the length of the capillary tube and record it to the nearest mm.
2.2 Flush the tune through with soap solution, followed by at least 25 ml. of distilled water.
2.3 Clamp the tube horizontally and connect it to the reservoir by a flexible tube fitted with a tap.
2.4 Fix the reservoir such that a head of water of 2005 mm is maintained throughout calibration.
2.5 Close the tap and fill the reservoir with distilled to the specified level. Record the water temperature.
2.6 Open the tap and when a steady discharge occurs, place the measuring cylinder under the open end and
begin to collect 10 ml/ of water. Repeat this procedure thrice.
