Dear Dr. Medwetsky,

The purpose of this letter is to express my intention of applying for promotion to the rank of Associate
Professor in the Department of Hearing, Speech, and Language Sciences.

I started in the department as a pre-tenure track instructor in 2008 and transitioned to tenure-track in
2011. I completed my Ph.D. in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences in February of 2012 and was
promoted to Assistant Professor in 2013.

In the past 4 years of working in this department, as an Assistant Professor, I believe I have shown
sufficient evidence of my teaching, scholarly and service capabilities as well as the professional integrity
required for a promotion to Associate Professor

In addition to this letter of intent, I am submitting my academic portfolio for review by you, HSLS faculty
and Tenure and Promotion Committee highlighting work I have accomplished during the time frame I
have served in the department.

I welcome the opportunity to provide my continued support to this Institution, and I hope for a positive
