In the movie
Hunt for the Wilder People, Ricky Baker, a foster child, and his foster uncle Hector are on the
run from the police in the New Zealand bush. In the movie, Hector is a dynamic character due to
his change in opinion of Ricky being bad, then being worse, then being good.
Hect did not like Ricky when he first met him. The only reason that Hect even talked to
Ricky was to tell him to leave him alone or because Bella told him to. This supports my
supporting detail because he flat out tells him that the only reason that he is there is because
Bella wanted him, he didnt. This changes later on in the story for the worse as well.
Hect liked Ricky even less in the middle of the story. For example, he gets so mad at
Ricky that he charges full force straight at him and then trips and breaks his ankle. You usually
wouldnt charge full force at someone you like. The only reason they stick together is for
survival. This supports my supporting detail because he show that he is not Rickys biggest fan.
Although he doesnt like Ricky right then, doesnt mean he wont later.
Finally at the end of the story, Hect liked Ricky. At the end of the story, Hect agrees to
live with Ricky and help him find the extinct-but-not-actually-extinct bird. This supports my
supporting detail because you wouldnt live with someone and spend time with them unless you
like them.
The way people feel about people is not set in stone, it can always change. In conclusion,
Hect is a dynamic character in terms of his opinion of Ricky. So what would you do if you were
