Comprehensive Exam Reflection

My learning in this program, Media Instructional Technology Specialist, has

greatly influenced my professional development. I feel that what I have learned
throughout this degree has enhanced my understanding of integrating technology
into the classroom. I have a better understanding of what it takes to develop
professional development sessions for teachers regarding the use of technology in
the classroom. I have also developed lesson plans that are rich with technology.
These lesson plans include activities for students to create their own learning,
student assessments, and student remediation.
In my 11 years of education, I feel that technology has changed for the
better. This course allowed me to research different views as they relate to the use
of technology in the classroom and how it has changed. I have learned that there
are great benefits to the use of technology as well as some draw backs. I feel better
prepared to make better judgements to what works in the classroom for myself as
well as other teachers. I can make better classroom assessments to attend to the
needs of teachers and their students.
I am very excited to be able to use this degree in a way that I can help others
to use technology in the classroom. Technology is the way of the future for teachers
and students. Jobs are going to be dependent on the technology knowledge that a
student and teacher may have. I am eager to be a part of preparing teachers and
students for the future.
