What is Ren?

Ren appears 150 times in the Confucian analects and 58 of the 499 sectocrs in the book. Ren is a
Confucian Philosophy and at the same time a vitue which means to love other people (12.22), or
a compassion and humanness which is found among relation with others.

Plan

My first plan is to expose the Close Family ties culture in the Philippines as a relevant value for
every Filipino families. Second is to expose also the philosophy of Confucius which is the Ren.
And Third is to connect these two ideas by using the Close Family ties culture as an evidence
and existing example of Ren. The Reason why I choose this Topic is to give a knowledge to the
Filipinos that we are applying the Ren of Confucious without our full knowledge of it.
