Donna Adamic, Superintendent

Cicero School District 99
5 110 W. 24th St.
Cicero, IL 60804

Dear Superintendent Adamic:

On May 14 - 15,2013 the Division of English Language Learning (DELL) of the Illinois State
Board of Education conducted an on-site monitoring review of Cicero School District 99's
implementation of Article 14C of the Illinois School Code (105 ILCS 5/14C), Part 228 of the 23
Illinois Administrative Code (23 Ill. Adm. Code 228), Part 1, Section 1.88 of the 23 lllinois
Administrative Code (23 111. Adm. Code 1.88), Title I11 of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001
(20 USC 6801 et. seq.), and any other applicable laws.

DELL issued a compliance monitoring report on May 30,2013, outlining findings that required
corrective actions. Cicero School District 99's written response received on June 18,2013 along
with additional information provided on July 25, 2013 satisfactorily addressed the findings
identified in the compliance monitoring report.

We commend your excellent work in responding to the concerns outlined in the report. We look
forward to continuing to work with your District to ensure that all ELL students have access to
quality programs, become proficient in English, and achieve academic success. If you have any
questions, please do not hesitate to contact DELL at 3 12-814-3850 or dellmonitoring@isbe.net.

Sincerely,

Anna Szuber
Principal Consultant
