Standard and reorg jobs (OSS-note 16083)

Create a variant for report SAP_DROP_TMPTABLES

This variant is valid for BW-systems only:
According to OSS note 308533 find out the tables concerned. Therefore start transaction DB02, press
Button "Detailed Analysis" and enter /BI0/0* (these are zeros, not O's) as the table name, and object
type "TABLE":

On the following screen, sort by column "Object". Example:

Author: Martin Steffke Page 7

Standard and reorg jobs (OSS-note 16083)

Find out the different kind of tables by examining the second digit after the last slash:
/BI0/020000.....
/BI0/060000...
Note all the different kind of tables, here in the example: type "2" and type "6".

Go to transaction SE38 and start report SAP_DROP_TMPTABLES and fill in the variant according to the
types (from above). In this example we have type "2" and "6":

Standard and reorg jobs (OSS-note 16083)

Save this variant as:

Name = TYPE_2_6 (because of table type "2" and "6" from above)
Description = table types 2, 6 (because of table type "2" and "6" from above)

This printer is a dummy printer, which should only be used for batches which do not really want to
print on paper!
If the printer does not exist, create it.
Make sure the settings are as follows:

Watch the "Lock printer in SAP system" above.

Plan the client dependent batch jobs

Some batch jobs are client dependent because they use client dependent ABAPs.
The chapters use the term "productive client". This means: All clients which the customer uses except the
clients 000, 001 and 066.

Standard job planning pattern

There exists no standard job planning pattern for client dependent jobs. They have to be scheduled
individually.

Create variants for standard jobs

Some jobs need client-specific selection criteria. Create the variants below.

Create a client specific variant for report RSBDCREO

Log on to each client which the customer uses as user DDIC.
Go to transaction SE38 and create a variant for Report RSBDCREO:
In SE38 enter: RSBDCREO, press F8 to continue. Fill in the form as follows:

Press the Button "Save as variant" and enter:

Variant name = ALL_30_DAYS

Description = All data elder 30 days

Assign the dummy printer for batch jobs to user DDIC

Log on as user DDIC in each client which the customer uses.

Standard and reorg jobs (OSS-note 16083)

Modify standard Job scheduling

Change Jobs
Change Job SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_DP
This job scheduling is valid for BW-Systems only:
The job SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_DP gathers statistic data. However, within Bw systems this job may
only run within the productive Bw client only!. There must be only 1 client productive in a Bw-system.

Delete the standard job scheduling of SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_DP as follows:

Log in to the productive Bw-client as user DDIC
Start transaction SM37 and display the scheduled job SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_DP.
Delete the job scheduling.

Re-schedule this batch job as follows:

Be sure to be user DDIC within the productive client of the Bw-system.
Start transaction RZ21, goto the menu: Technical Infrastructure -> Method Execution -> Activate
Background Processing.
Confirm the following dialog with Button "Generate" in order to re-create the job
SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_DP.

Standard and reorg jobs (OSS-note 16083)

Create new Jobs

Create client specific Job RDDIMPDP_CLIENT_<client>
Log on as user DDIC in each client which the customer uses.
Check in transaction SM37 whether RDDIMPDP is scheduled in all clients. Fill in the form as follows:

Watch the selection criteria '*' (an asterisk) in the field "Job name" and "or after event" above.

The resulting output window should show a batch schedule for each client in the system as follows:

Author: Martin Steffke Page 20

Standard and reorg jobs (OSS-note 16083)

If you don't see every client, then:

go to transaction SCC4 in order to find out the clients which are used in this system.
Log on to the respective client as user DDIC.
Run the report RDDNEWPP in transaction SE38
If a dialog appears like this:

choose "Normal" in order not to influence other customer jobs.

Author: Martin Steffke Page 21

Standard and reorg jobs (OSS-note 16083)

Create client specific Job SAP_REORG_BATCHINPUT_<client>

Log on as user DDIC in each client which the customer uses.
The batch already exists in client 000 as SAP_REORG_BATCHINPUT. For all other clients which the
customer will use, create a new batch with the client number at the end. Example:
SAP_REORG_BATCHINPUT_100

Go to transaction SM36 and create a new batch job:

Job name = SAP_REORG_BATCHINPUT_<client> (Example: SAP_REORG_BATCHINPUT_100)
Job class = C

Start condition:
Date = (tomorrow)
Time = 00:30:00
Period: daily

Step:
ABAP-Program
Name = RSBDCREO
Variant = ALL_30_DAYS
Press button "Print specifications" and select the output device LP01 (dummy printer for batches)

Save the Job

Create client specific Job for language supplementation

Log on as user DDIC in each client which the customer uses.
It is important to plan the language supplementation in each client. This is used by transports, also by
support packages.
Refer for this to the guide "Language Import How-To", chapter "Periodic supplementation in other clients".
Here is the shortcut to the document:
