Watching Video
Set Induction TA : a video entitled A Turtle's Tale 2
(5 minutes) 1. Teacher shows a video entitled A Turtle's Tale 2 Sammy's Sammy's Escape From Paradise
Escape From Paradise to pupils to attract their attention to
the lesson on that day. CCTS: generate ideas
2. Pupils watch the video attentively. MI: Visual spatial, verbal linguistic
3. Teacher asks pupils simple questions about the video. CCE: Science
example ofquestions:
i. Who had watched this story before? Please raise
your hand.
ii. What are the sea creatures that you can see from
the video?
iii. What happen to the turtle in the video?
TA : Word cards, PowerPoint
Pre-reading Find the meaning of the base words presentation
(15 minutes)
1. Pupils watch some words that they are going to learn on CCTS : Identify main ideas
that day in a slide. MI: Linguistic, logical mathematical
2. Teacher explains the meaning of base words to the pupils MV: Independence

and shows one example of base words of a word that CCE: Science
shown in the previous slide. (e.g: moving move)
3. Pupils listen to teachers explanation.
4. Teacher paste a set of words on the whiteboard and asks
one pupil to choose one word card of base word from the
teacher.
5. The pupils need to match the base word that they choose
to the correct word pasted on the whiteboard.
6. Repeat step 4 and 5 for the next words.
7. Teacher gives a few dictionaries to a few pupils to search
for the meaning of the base words.
8. Teacher discusses the meaning of the words with pupils
by using the dictionaries, pupils previous knowledge and
by showing actions for each word.
9. Pupils follow teachers actions.

While-reading CCTS: Identifying main ideas
(20 minutes) 1. Teacher shows a reading text entitled A Day at The Turtle MI: Verbal Linguistic, Bodily Kinesthetic
Sanctuary in a PowerPoint presentation. MV: Cooperation
2. Teacher reads aloud the text. OV: Joy of effort
3. Pupils repeat after teacher.
4. Teacher explain the meaning of the text.
5. When they come across some words that they had learn
earlier during pre-reading, they need to do the actions.
6. After that, teacher asks one group to do the actions while
the others read the text again.
Reading comprehension TA: Reading Comprehension worksheet.
Post-reading CCTS: generate ideas, generate
(15 minutes) 1. Teacher gives each pupil a worksheet consist of the choices.

2. Teacher asks the pupils to read the text silently and
answer the reading comprehension.
3. Pupils read the text silently and answer the reading
comprehension by matching the questions with the correct
answers.
4. Pupils may discuss their answer with their group

5. Teacher chooses one pupil to read the answer for question
one.
6. The selected pupil will share their answer with their
friends.
7. Repeat step 5 and 6 for the next questions.

Closure CCTS: Make conclusion
(5 minutes) 1. Teacher shows pupils a video of a song entitled The Sea. MI: Musical
2. Pupils watch and enjoy the song. MV: Love and value the environment
3. Teacher concludes the lesson by telling pupils to love all
the sea creatures not only the turtles.
4. Pupils listen to teachers advice attentively.
5. Pupils asks a few pupils to concludes the lesson by asking
questions.

ii. Why do you need to take care for the sea?
iii. How can you take care of the sea?
