1.0 Operating and control elements
3.1 Description of
appliance
The CBP(esf) is a combined fridge-BioFresh-freezer with a SmartFrost freezer compartment. The fridge- BioFresh and
freezer compartment evaporators are activated via a bi-stable solenoid valve. Both evaporators are connected in series
A
(see 4.2.4 Principle of operation of the refrigerating system). Therefore /3 fridge- BioFresh
the compartment can be
* (1)
operated only in conjunction with the freezer compartment.VHowever, it is possible to operate the freezer compartment
on its own.
Up/Down SuperFrost Alarm On/Of
The refrigerator compartment and BioFresh compartment are cooled using a foamed-in evaporator. The evaporator
is thermally sealed off by an insulated, vertical separating plate.

A DC fan is used for temperature balance between refrigerator compartment and BioFresh compartment. The fan is

integrated in the vertical separating plate. 0
If the refrigerator compartment requires refrigeration (detection by refrigerator compartment air sensor), the fan is
switched ON. The fan takes compartment
in the warm air from the front and blows Freezer

The compressor is controlled using an inverter. The inverter electronic module is
installed directly on the compressor.
The speed steps and compressor switch-off are controlled by the inverter using a
corresponding frequency signal (pulse-with modulated square-wave voltage on a
separate signal line).
Note: If the frequency signal is interrupted, the compressor continues to run on a
predetermined speed step!
