o Who would have thought that this persistent, will-powered phenomenal women
would have set out to have such an empowered legacy for herself?
o Im speaking about the activist, feminist, educator and much more Angela Davis

Knew young girls killed in the Birmingham church bombing

Became close with the Soledad brothers while they were imprisoned
She was accused of having part in the murder that the brothers were being

Governor Ronal Regan petitioned to have Angela Davis no longer

Professor Emeritus of History of Consciousness and Feminist Studies at
the University of California at Santa Cruz.
Also a Distinguished Visiting Professor in the Women's and Gender
Studies Department at Syracuse University.
Summary/Conclusion
o I picked Angela Davis not because we have the same last name or shes another
African American women just like me trying to make it in the world. I picked this
activist because shes someone that when an issue is brought to her and it is
effecting her community, she does something about it. She isnt a person to let one
negative thing let her back down. Overall, Angela Davis is someone to look up to
and see things may get rough when trying to makes things right but in the end,
everything will be alright.
