Who We Are
New Energys vision is to provide clean, reliable, affordable,
renewable, and environmentally responsible power to the world.

New Energy is achieving this vision primarily through the

development and provision of hydrokinetic power generation
systems based on its EnCurrent vertical axis turbine; unit sizes
range from 5 kW to 250 kW

Systems are deployed with little environmental impact across a

range of current and potential locations (rivers, canals, industrial
outflows and tides) without the requirement for dams or major civil
works
The Challenge

1.2 -1.6 billion people worldwide are without access to

electricity for basic needs such as lighting and refrigeration
Remote communities currently served with costly and
polluting diesel power are seeking clean cost effective renewable
energy solutions
Jurisdictions mandated with minimum Renewable Portfolio
Standards require renewable solutions to meet those standards
Current renewable energy sources are intermittent and/or
unpredictable making it difficult for these sources to be used
for base-load power
EnCurrent Power Generation
System
Cross flow design generates lift as water
passes over foil surface
Simple robust design with power
equipment above water (floating system)
Flexible deployment floating, fixed, free
flow, ultra low head; independent of flow
direction

Summary
On our way to realizing our vision to providing
clean reliable power to the world
First generation systems provided the experience
necessary to develop field hardened designs
Moving into commercial production of
Generation 2 5 kW Direct Drive systems; 25
kW systems to follow
Product line extended with the development of
the 250 kW tidal units
