experiences, and feelings.
2.2 The student will sing a repertoire of songs alone and with
others, including singing melodic patterns that move upward,
downward, and stay the same
2.4 The student will perform rhythmic patterns that include half
notes, half rests, whole notes, and whole rests, using aural skills
to imitate given phrases; and

Materials:
Uke
Speaker to play the song off of

Process:
I will begin with playing part of the song so that students will be
able to hear what they will be learning and hopefully get excited
to learn the song.
Next I will model how to play the C chord on the uke and make
sure that I pause for enough time for them to copy what I am
doing with my left hand.
o I will then model each chord Am, F, and G in the same way
making sure that I leave enough time for students to model
the chords.
Then I will play the C chord and ask the camera to see if they can
play with me to see if it sounds the same.
o I will again go through the same procedure with the rest of
the chords.
After I play through all the chords I will begin to teach the
strumming pattern of the song that I believe is the best fit for the
song.
o I will encourage the students to put their own little spin on
it which means that they can add some percussion if they
wanted to or felt comfortable with it.
I will then begin to teach the song by playing the first verse
slowly, then the chorus, then the second verse at a very slow
pace.
o I will play each section first then I will encourage the
students to begin to play along and play through it two
more times.
o I will make sure that I sing while I am teaching them how to
play the song so they can hear where the chords should
change based on the lyrics as well.
Once I play through each section through multiple times I will
begin to play through the whole song I will play through the song
three times.
o The 1st time I will ask the students to only sing the song
through while I play and sing.
o The 2nd time I will ask them to play the chords while I play
and sing through the song.
o The 3rd time I will ask them to play and sing through the
whole song but if they are not comfortable with doing this I
will just ask them to play the chords while I play through
the whole piece.
Once I am done playing through the piece three times I will
conclude the video with making sure that the student knows that
it might take a while to learn the song completely but feel free to
re-watch the video as much as they need to.

Assessment:
Since this is a video it is going to be hard to assess the students
watching this but I will make sure that the students have achieved my
objective depending on whether or not I gave them enough time and
enough instruction for them to learn exactly what they needed to in
order to play the song effectively.

Adaptation:
In order to make this more accessible with how fast I go through
the material and how many times I have to go over the same material
over and over again.
