War, war never changes.

Much has changed since the first bombs fells, but conflict remains the same;
humans will keep killing humans so long as there are humans left to kill.

Some are able to escape this truth; they run, they hide, they flee, they avoid
the danger and they try to live peaceful lives, devoid of conflict or fighting.
However no one can escape the harsh reality of the world forever, and its
never long before Death shows up to pay its respects, usually clad in its
more violent guise.

For young Mel, Deaths visit came early into his life. He was once the proud
son of settlers who travelled the wasteland in search of a place to call home.
However a raider attack, an infected wound and an illness meant that young
Mel soon found himself travelling the wasteland alone.

After that point young Mel learned the truth of the world, that conflict is
unending and that it touches us all. After that point young Mel was young no
more, his childhood and innocence stolen from him forever.

Mel would then proceed to travel the wasteland alone. For a while he would
follow in his parents footsteps, in search of place to call home. Alas he
eventually realized that the home he was looking for was longer possible,
there was nowhere for him to settle down that would bring back that which
he lost. So instead he opted for another route; he decided that what had
happened to him must not happen to anyone else.
Death might be inevitable and conflict never-ending, but none the less Mel
was not about to sit idly and do nothing in the face of such cruelty.
And so Mel became a physician in the hopes of preserving life, so that
others would not suffer like he had. He decided it was not him that was
crazy, but the world, and he set out to change it.

Mel now travels the wasteland acting as travelling doctor, helping those in
need, doing his bit in hopes it will one day amount to something.
It was in one such travel when he came across the town of Bath, a
developed settlement in which he quickly offered to lend his services.
During his stay in Bath, Mel would meet a peculiar fellow by the name
Arthur. There was some talking, some drinking and some arguing; however
come daybreak both men had found a newfound respect for the other, and
so Arthur would invite Mel to join his order of knights, invitation which Mel
graciously accepted.

And so Mel now travels the wasteland with Arthur.

He helps those in need and hopes to make a difference, despite knowing in
his heart that its useless, for there is nothing a single man can do against
the very nature of humanity.

Be that as it may, Mel wont give up that easy.
