Leading by example
B
URGER King may have been only a year old
in Fiji but the popular hamburger chain is
already setting a good trend for customers.
From serving the world-famous flame-grilled
burgers, to redefining the way people expect
their breakfast, lunch and dinner to be, the team
at BK have already stamped a mark with locals
and tourists alike, Burger King general manager
Akash Narsey says.

The best part is that you dont have to wait un-
til 10.30am to get your favourite meal - all regular
meals are served from the time the restaurants
open in the morning at six.
Meanwhile, the news of Burger Kings selected

restaurants in United Kingdom and New Zealand
serving beer has come with no surprise to their
Fijian counterpart.
The news of selected outlets overseas serving
beer to customers has come to us with no sur-
prises - we had started serving beer and other

ready to drink beverages (RTDs) from day one at
our Martintar outlet which opened up in February
last year, Mr Narsey added.
Mr Narsey says many customers may not be
aware of the service as they are not used to see-

ing alcoholic beverages at other such outlets in
the country.
This is what sets Burger King apart from oth-
ers, we listen to our customers and dare to do
things differently, Mr Narsey said.
A lot of customers are appreciating the service
and we will be adding more choices in future as
we are currently serving canned Fiji Gold, Fiji Bit-

ter and Bounty Rum in Cola.
It has now become very obvious that at Burger
King, you can have it your way. Even our regular
menu has no serving timelines and is available for
everyone from six in the morning to midnight ev-
ery day.
While being a relatively smaller market, the

Fijian franchise has already become very popu-
lar amongst locals and tourists alike in just 12
months of operation.
