LEARNING OUTCOMES
1. Design and implement a usable Internet Application for use on multiple browsers,
including connection to a well-designed database and using server and client side
scripting.
2. Create web application applying web standards and accessibility guidelines.
ASSIGNMENT BRIEF
As one of the members of a Web Development Team that consists of 3 people, you are
assigned to develop a complete website. You are given the freedom of choosing the title. The
objective is to create a website that will serve as a resource for both registered and non
registered users who are looking for information, activities, resources etc. The website must
demonstrate database connectivity and client/server processing. The scope and contents of the
title chosen are to be entirely determined by you.
The Web site must demonstrate good usage and appropriateness of multimedia element. You
are expected to provide good interface design principles and a full functional navigation.
REQUIREMENTS
DOCUMENTATION
Format:
Type face: Times New Roman. Bold face, italic & lines can be used for
emphasizing and to enhance readability.
Font size: 12(except titles and headings).
Spacing: 1.5 lines between texts of a paragraph.
Alignment: justify.
Headers and footers can be used.
Numbered.
Binding: APU standard for Level 2
Cover page, your cover page should contain the following items
Your Name and ID.
Intake code.
Subject.
Project Title.
Date Assigned (the date the report was handed out).
Date Completed (the date the report is due to be handed in).

Table of Contents
The table of contents should have the topic title and reference page
number attached to each topic.
Introduction/ Project Plan
This section introduces your project including the objectives, scopes,
targeted audiences, project schedule, and a summary of the major
functions of your website.
Requirement Specification
This section defines the audience modeling, hardware/software
requirement, major functions of the web and etc.
Design and Modeling
The section defines the database schema(data dictionary), interface
design(story board), website architectures(navigational structure, static
& dynamic pages).
Implementation
Explain 5 code snippets
Conclusions (summary and future works)
References
SUBMISSION
The complete Web site and project documentation (softcopy) in the form of a CD-
ROM.
The project documentation (hardcopy).
