VENTILATED

FAADE
SYSTEM
MAR/2010
VENTILATED FAADE SYSTEM FORTE IS
DESIGNEDTO MOUNT HEAVY FAADE
MATERIALS - STONE, MARBLE, GRANITE,
WITH THICKNESS MORE THAN 20 MM. 13

e proles and accessories are constructed tobear extremepressures 11

caused by faade materialswith weights up to 90 kg per sq.m.
8
ETEM Building Systems hasdeveloped two ways of mounting 5
9
heavy faade materials - with the help of pins (for plate thickness 7
ofmore than 30 mm) andundercut anchors.

FORTE system is created e FORTE ventilated system for

based on leading standards invisible mounting through undercut
anchors has the following advantages: 6
(UNI7965, DIN18516) and
European regulations, which
are applied by ETEM Building
Systems.
1 Perfect vision of the faade with
no visible holding elements;

FORTE Ventilated System uses FISCHER Difference in the
and KEIL fixing anchors to guarantee the stresses of the tile:
connections between the faade material
and the main bearingstructure of the 1. by means of pins
system.
2. by means of "undercut" anchors
is unique undercut technology for
drilling and mounting of the anchor on
the back (invisible)section of the faade
material allows for:

1.
Usage of faade materials with
thickness less than 30 mm;

50% more load in comparison to standard

methods ofmounting heavy faade
materials (marble, granite);

73% less internal stressesin the panel.

VENTILATED FAADE SYSTEMS ARE CONSTRUCTED
TO ALLOW SECURE MOUNTING OF DIFFERENT FAADE
MATERIALS TO THE CONSTRUCTION BASES OFBUILDINGS.

Ventilated systems are based on the principle

of natural ventilation, which is achieved through
an air gap (4-8cm) between the faade material
and the thermal insulation.

Ventilated faade systems are constructed to allow secure

mounting of dierent faade materials to the construction base
of the buildings. All ETEM elements designed under EIS are
dimensioned using a nite element method with the ANSYS
program. Maximum stresses and creeps are pre-simulated.
In this way the optimal shape of the proles and accessories
is achieved assuring the highest reliability.
