Note: 13724 is the default port configured for vnetd to listen on.

3. Update client with bpclient

/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/bpclient -update -client


<client_name> -no_callback <0|1>

Where -no_callback options are: 0 for off and 1 for on

Example:

/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/bpclient -update -client


megatron -no_callback 1

/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/bpclient -client megatron

/usr/openv/netbackup/db/client/<client_hostname>/host_info file

5. Enable vnetd logging

a. If the directory does not exit, create /usr/openv/logs/vnetd.

Note: Not /usr/openv/netbackup/logs/vnetd

b. Modify the vnetd entry in /etc/inetd.conf:

vnetd stream tcp nowait root


/usr/openv/bin/vnetd vnetd -severity 0xffff

Note: Added the -severity 0xffff flag to the entry.

c. Stop and restart the inetd process
