As shows circuit of our project solar tracking system.

In this project we use major mode auto


mode. The mode selection is done by internal programming connected to pin P1.5 of IC. One
terminal of switch is connected to positive another terminal is ground and middle terminal is
connected to microcontroller IC. Initially when power is turn on due to reset circuit using
resistance R2 and capacitor C3, capacitor C3 is change and give reset pulse to RST terminal of
controller due to which program execution start from starting memory location. At starting we
detected the position of selector switch using instruction and according to that program goes in
subroutine of Auto mode at pin P5 and P6.

We connected dc geared motor driving card. In this card we use driver IC to generate driving
current. In this card input the high signal is applied digital switching pulse drive the motor in
clock wise or anti clock wise form. Output of driver IC is connected to driver IC through basing
resistance. This IC ha internal transistor is use in Darlington pair mode to increases current for
driving motor. There are diodes which are within driver IC connected across each winding of
motor.

The purpose of this diode to provide freewheeling action when winding goes in saturation mode.
In program we write look up table for clockwise and anti clock wise rotation of motor. This look
up table is output at part 1 and according to that stepper motor moves.. For drive selected we use
two key S1 and S2 this pin is connected to ground and switch when any one key is press the pin
is ground (i.e. logically low). This is detected by instruction and according to that sensor and
solar panel move in clock wise i.e. east direction or anti clock wise that is west direction and we
can set require position of solar and sensor .

In regular mode we can divide the total process in rotating and search mode for required motion
is dividing in to no of step for motor to move the sensor from one position to another.crystal
frequency is connected between pin XTALI to generate clock pulse for internal operation of IC.
For proper operation there limit switches are attached to sense the limit of position in each sides.
A regulator is installed for 5 v regulator which it gives constant output.
