CONCERT/NAME POSTER ASSIGNMENT

Due Period, 4 Tuesday 14th February, 2017

You will be creating a concert/name poster and typing a
100-word explanation in your e-journal of why you have
used these visual conventions and how it appeals to
your selected audience

You will be creating a concert poster in Adobe Photoshop. You will

be developing a graphic, without words, that visually conveys a feeling of
the style of music that will be played. For example, pop, rock, punk, etc.
You will need to select a real-life artist and consider how the music makes
you feel. You will need to think abstractly to express the mood of the
music style. You will need to use the text and other visual conventions to
express the music. You will also need to consider how it will appeal to
your selected and targeted audience. You will need to include the name
of the festival, the city, the time and the name of the performers.

An alternative assessment you can undertake is to create a graphic

For this assignment you will be assessed on the extent as to how

you develop and you use visual conventions to portray the music style

your technical skills, knowledge, quality, originality and how it appeals to
