7 A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE PHILIPPINE NATIONAL
8 POLICE BUTUAN CITY POLICE OFFICE FOR AN
9 OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE IN DELIVERING PEACE AND
10 ORDER TO THE CITY OF BUTUAN FOR THE LATEST PERIOD
11 ENDING MARCH 13, 2016, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

14 WHEREAS, presented before the Honorable Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) Body is the latest
15Official Report of the Butuan City Police Office (BCPO), comprehensively covering the Lambat Sibat,
16Crime Statistics, Accomplishments on Illegal Drugs and Loose Firearms, the Panaad Security Plan, and
17the SumVac Security Plan, covering different previous comparative periods and the present period,
18covering February 29 to March 13, 2016;

20 WHEREAS, one striking portion thereof is the Crime Statistics, particularly the 7 Focus Crimes
21Trending, provided in line graphs which show the generally decreasing overall rate of incidents for
22murder, homicide, physical injury, robbery, theft, carnapping, and motornapping, for the periods covered
23February 29 to March 6, 2016 and March 7 to 13, 2016, as compared with the period covering January 15,
242015 to February 28, 2016;

26 WHEREAS, this positive trend is strengthened by the BCPOs increase in intervention activities
27in the latest periods, and corroborated by the Comparative Crime Statistics provided in the same Report
28which shows that between the periods October to December 2014 and October to December 2015, there
29was a significant decrease in the number of crimes, from 1,339 to 1,013, and between the periods January
30to March 2015 and January to March 2016, the same decrease in crime incidents was also noted, from
31962 to 506;

33 WHEREAS, the Honorable SP believes that the men and women in uniform of the BCPO are
34very much deserving of an accolade for their diligence and dedication in serving the people of the City
35and ensuring that they live in a safe, peaceful, and orderly environment.

40 RESOLVED, to commend the Philippine National Police Butuan City Police Office for an
41outstanding performance in delivering peace and order to the City of Butuan for the latest period ending
42March 13, 2016.

44 RESOLVED FURTHER, to furnish copies of this Resolution the Offices of the City Mayor, the
45Department of the Interior and Local Government Butuan City Office, and the Philippine National
46Police Butuan City Police Office, for their information and appropriate actions.
