INVADING THE 7 MOUNTAINS OF CULTURE OR

INFLUENCE

Bill Bright and Loren Cunningham were both given a message

by God

In their revelation, God had told both that there were

seven spheres, or mountains, that were the
foundations of every society: religion, family, education,
government, media, arts and entertainment, and
business.
Whoever could take those mountains could take a nation. Just
as Caleb had made the request of Joshua to give me this
mountain (Josh. 14:12, KJV), Cunningham and Bright both
believed missionaries could make the same request of the Lord
for the nations they were pursuing with the gospel.

The mission movement has been stagnant for years

because we missed the window to the next phase of the
Great Commission. The call to go into all the
world is no longer simply geographic.

We must go into all the systems of this world

the seven mountains or seven mind molders of
culture. We must become a 7m movement.

7 Spheres or Mountains?
7 MOUNTAINS
I support Peter Wagners stance that we, as a body, should use
the same terminology. When it comes to advancing Gods
kingdom throughout society, Wagner believes that a key factor
is language and terminology. Yet the discrepancy of terms
signals to him a weak point in our current spiritual army. If we
fail to talk the same language and use the same terminology,
we will never be as strong and powerful as we hope to be.

The truth is, humans can devise ingenious solutions and

implement proven programs to solve our cultural problems, but
unless Gods power is allowed to take full force, we will gain
little ground. We need societal transformationthat is
undeniable.

But true cultural change that yields lasting fruit cant occur
unless the kingdom of God is allowed to reign. The goal for
Christians is not to dominate society; it is to bring about Gods
kingdom on earth.

When Jesus prayed, Your Kingdom come. Your will be

done, on earth as it is in heaven (Matt. 6:10), in one
brief sentence He unveiled the secret to true transforming
power. When the kingdom of God truly rules on earth, it doesnt
matter who sits on what worldly thrones because those ruling
and serving throughout the land know which King ultimately
holds all power.

To control cities, regions, and nations, we have to control the

Seven Mountains that shape culture. Whether the goal is to
take New York City, Singapore, Moscow, London, or Baguio City,
Philippines, the strategy is the same.

Possess the Seven Mountains and you will possess the

keys to a culture.
The end goal is not controlling these different parts of society
for the sake of control or power but to see Gods kingdom reign
throughout the earth, just as it is in heaven.
The kingdom of God encompasses all Seven Mountains. That
means God already has a strategy for each mountain in every
culture around the world.

WHY IS IT TAKING SO LONG?

The Message of the Gospel of Grace has been distorted.

In this world, Christianity is promoted more as a religion than a
relationship with Jesus Christ.
When you go into the systems of this world, you invade
strongholds. Its not wise or necessary to do this by
yourself. Daniel had three companions. It requires a
different level of kingdom authority to deal with the
gates of hell. Jesus said, I will build My church and the
gates of Hell will not prevail against it. (Matthew 16: 18).

THE WORD CHURCH IS ECCLESIA

The ecclesia is a governing word describing a
governing body of believers called out as citizens of
the kingdom to take their seats at the gates! What
gates? The gates of influence that shape the cities
and nations of the earth. Is that how you think of
church?

By moving in small groups to advance as believers we are

exploring a new mission movement, and it is way overdue.
This new entity is called a micro-church. We need them
in every 7m sphere where the gates of influence are
dominated by tares and not wheat. We need to
look for the Cyruses among them. We need to be modern
day Esthers, Josephs, Daniels and Nehemiahs.

By advancing up your mountain with a small group that

knows how to pray, your 7m micro-church becomes a
force multiplier. You become the front line of a new
mission movement!

At present, we are experiencing a great unraveling

because somebody else discipled the nation. Lets own it.
There are reasons behind our demise:

Christians are not taught the Gospel of the kingdom. To a

great extent, ministers and ministries do not train people
to expand the kingdom through their careers and callings
in life. We do not work together or mobilize believers in
their spheres to advance the Gospel of the kingdom in our
communities.
The World system has evangelized the church with its
values and influence. We seek the same
goals, namely affluence and significance. The difference
between us and progressives is that Christians are
reluctant to offend the political correctness of Babylon.
Believers are taught escapist theology. This comes
through the guise of seeking ever-deeper spiritual
experiences, or the erroneous belief that things will
change in nations if we just become more spiritual
ourselves. By not focusing on going into all the worlds
systems we bottle up the antidote!

 The corruption that rules the 7 mountains of nations does
not stay still, it spreads and counteracts the
transformational power of the Gospel.

By isolating ourselves from the systems of justice, law,

literature, art, etc. we fail to be the healing force to
change the nations and the nations get worse. Eventually,
this will deteriorate into a status where the church itself
comes under siege. The ultimate problem is the way the
church defines itself. The church is Christs ecclesiaHis
government on the earth. The Left advanced and took
over spheres of influence that Christian morality once
held. For a long time there was a balance. We have lost
the common moral ground from which differences can be
resolved.

THE MOUNT ZION MANTLE

What am I talking about? Its a thing called the Mount Zion Mantle. Its
the ability to adjust yourself to different levels of anointing and operate at
higher spheres. All mastery comes down to distinctions. The
distinctions between a 30-fold, 60-fold, or a 100-fold revelation are going
to be different. Somebody whos just discovering healing is at the
beginning stage. If theyre a practitionerthey are moving up. If they are
teaching it and doing it, theyve reached the 100-fold level. The 100-fold
is the ability to manifest the revelation.

Here are a few key points:

1. The anointing takes you higher. When David was anointed, he

was anointed three times. Each anointing took him further up
Mount Zion. Mount Zion is important because its where the
language for the government of God was formed. Many of us
think about miracles or revival but what you need to think about is
the government of heaven overlaying the activity of planet earth.
Mount Zion literally was where the government of David was

 established. It will also be the place where Jesus returns to rule the
earth.

2. Favor is all about relationship and recognition. When David

was meeting with his brethren anticipating his anointing as king, he
wasnt functioning as a king. He was actually functioning as a tribal
leader. He was in a place called Hebron. Hebron is the Hebrew
word for the place of relationship. Think about this. Its in the
relationships that you form in Hebron that youre able to attract the
anointing to be able to ascend to higher levels. David was
anointed to be king long before he manifested his role as a
king. What does this mean? It means that you are anointed to
do something long before you manifest it inside of you. The
30-fold is the authority to rule in another level. If you feel stuck at
30-fold and you keep seeing 100-fold prophetically, you get
frustrated over whats missing. Thats where this series explains
the stages and phases of the anointing and the distinctions that
you have to make in order to be able to form relationships of
recognition. It was the ability to recognize who David was that
enabled him to then become king. Why is this important now? You
may have heard teachings on favor for many years, but the real
secret of favor is the anointing of recognition. Recognition is
when somebody indispensable to your next level recognizes
whats on your life.
