Say Yes to PEACE, and No to

WAR

Recently surgical strikes were conducted by India on terrorist launch pads along the
LOC in Pakistan in retaliation to attack by terrorists on our army camp at Uri. The
atmosphere is tense and there is war of words in social media as well. The people of
both India and Pakistan think that the war is about to begin. However, they dont
realize that this war is not against Pakistan but against the terrorists who have killed
around 100 children in Peshawar school, who have gunned down Pakistani rights
activists like Sabeen Mehmud, and have also taken thousands of lives across
Pakistan.
There have been protests by some Hindu hardliners against Pakistani actors who
work in Indian film industry, asking them to leave India. In my opinion, this is totally
incorrect as those artistes are not the terrorists against whom we are fighting.
War does not result in something good, but it results in the loss of life and property.
The so called Differences between India and Pakistan which have been carried
since 68 years have resulted in nothing beneficial. These differences have only
resulted in loss to both the countries. Many Soldiers have died at the Siachen border
due to extreme cold. And still the soldiers are risking their lives just for the sake of
an extremely cold land which is of no use. Many countries like China and USA
benefit through their fight by selling war equipments to both the countries.
The ongoing border conflict between the two countries should be resolved through
political dialogue, and not through war. This will save many lives, property & money,
and would also lead to lasting peace in the subcontinent.
