JUVENILE PUNISHMENT

Introduction

As shown in chapter 1 and 2, the project has evolved to the point where a

comparison between the actual situation and the desired picture has to be made in order to

follow the phases of the article Sistema de Realizacion de un Proyecto by Juan Pablo

Aljure. This specific step is called phase 3, meant to evaluate everything that has been done

up until now. The results of the whole survey will be taken into account in order to analyze

if a difference truly exists and to study once again the arrangements that must be done.

In order to make the comparison, a Venn diagram for comparing both stages will be

used, considering is the easiest way to see the ideas and methodology of a project with the

purpose of improving the projects development process. In accordance with the article

people must take into account 4 factors, evaluation, wishes, planning and actions, owing to

the fact that its supposed to be easier to analyze all factors.

The discrepancies between the desired image and the current situation are caused by

ineffective methods by parents, institutions and the government to promote proper

behavior, acting under the political constitution and finally knowing and respecting the law.

With this assignment I expect to convey the noteworthiness of regulations by

presenting a blog built up with evidences and life changing situations, being penalized,

from people who decided to pursue incorrect conduct and currently are paying the

consequences. I believe teenagers will take in effortless the message if they get the

opportunity to see first hand what their actions could lead them to.

By the end of my project I want to certify students apprehension of the importance

of being law-abiding citizens and the bright side of righteous lifestyles. Additionally, long

term I want the school to include my blog for educational programs and to contribute

reducing the average of juvenile convicts per day, 60 to 70.

Effectiveness of current actions - Systems thinker

To evaluate my productiveness, 4 out of the 14 habits of a systematic thinker will be taken

into consideration. These are: big picture, change over time, systems structure and

consequences.

1. Big Picture:
How can I maintain balance between the big picture and important details?

Considering how teenagers think and the activities they do nowadays, Im able

to create balance between what I want them to learn and what I know theyll

take into consideration.

6
JUVENILE PUNISHMENT

What time frame should be considered as I view the system? The ages of the

population, the dates established in the action plan for the activities and the days

to complete the blog.

Am I keeping my focus on areas of influence, rather than on areas of concern

that I cannot influence? I think I am keeping my focus on areas of influence,

because I provide the consequences and knowledge young adults must acquire,

basing my choosing on the daily life activities and ideas of a person between the

ages of 13 and 20.

2. Change Over Time:

What important elements have changed in the system?
So far, I know a small group of them are aware of their actions, however I want

to finish the project to expand the group.

How have the elements changed over time?
With my action plan I share a little the message and help open their minds to the

law that currently exists.

What changing elements represent amounts and how quickly/slowly are they

increasing or decreasing?
Visual aids are in my opinion the easiest and most eye-catching method to attack

teenagers and to influence them into law-abiding.

What patterns or trends have emerged over time?
Social media has been a trend for over a decade, which explains the reason why

I chose to use it in my favour and explanation of why I believe is the most

suitable for the population.

3. Systems Structure:
How do parts affect one another?
If the process isnt developed properly, people tend to unfold erroneously,

causing them to be exposed to committing crimes and of course being penalized

for it.

7
JUVENILE PUNISHMENT

How does the organization and interaction of the parts create the behaviour that

emerges?
The organization and interactions is very important for my graduation project

because only throughout both of them a person will understand and remember

the laws according to their ages.
