Personal & Professional Assessment (PPA)
PURPOSE
The purpose of this course is to
assess readiness for the next career
step, and evaluate degree of
progress, since participation on the
PPP course. This course is the final
evaluation before the promotion to
Captain or Chief Engineer.
Participants will go through a row of
exercises and tests, re-evaluating
how they live up to the standards,
required for a Marine Leader.
Second, there will be a follow up on
the participant's action plan, made
on the PPP course

Personal interviews, amongst
others regarding conclusions from
PPP report, action plan, own
perceptions of progress since PPP
Personal and professional re-
evaluation (new tests)

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Engineers and Senior Officers with
several years of experience, and
good evaluations from the vessels
(regarded as ready for promotion
from TO). Participants must have
completed PPP, and after this
course have worked seriously in
directions indicated with their
action plans
