Tests on Educational interest and its impact

Introduction

Psychology is the scientific study of behavior and mental processes. It emerged as an

independent field of study when ideas from philosophy were applied by scientist in other field to the

task of understanding human behavior. The psychological test with the purpose of understand the

interest of the student. It is applied in many fields such as mental tests, educational tests,

intelligence tests etc. It helps to identify the interest, behavior, aptitude and attitude of the

students.

Legitimate educational interest means a campus official, acting in the students

educational interest who needs the information in the course of performing advisory, instructional,

supervisory or administrative duties for the University.

It helps to understand the like / dislike subjects in the educational field. The main

objective of this is know your educational interest so that we can guide you for education.

Findings

The educational interest test was conducted in IX standard B in S.D.V.G.H.S. The

psychological test was based on the interests in educational area, it includes Agriculture, Home

science, Fine arts, Technology, Commerce etc. This test was introduced by Dr. S.D.Kulshrestha. I gave

instructions to students. In every box of this booklet two educational subjects were written. You can

put your idea of your educational interest from the two given educational subjects keeping in view

the salary, prestige and future of the subject. You have to mark your choice.

Educational interest test provide an opportunity to identify educational interest of

students. This test was conducted in a class contains twenty students. The nine students interested

in designing, craft , music, paintings etc. that means the pupil like fine arts. The other ten students

interested in Human sciences that contain sculpture, cooking, psychology, family relations, working

anthropology etc. The last one student interested in science and technology that contain modern

art, Agriculture, Irrigation science, Mathematics, General Technology.


The most of the pupil interested in agriculture, human science, humanities, fine arts,

technology. The 12% of students like commerce as their second interested area it contains farming,

banking, typing, toy making etc.

Conclusion

The Educational interested test provide a clear cut idea about students interest in various

levels like fine arts, agriculture and human science. This study helps to both teacher and students to

understand their interest and create their own future plan. This test we find that each of these

students have their own interest areas, high interest and less interest. Each individual is unique form

this twenty students got human science as their high interest area.
