Not just work, engineering can also be fun. Participants in

TECHiQ, the quiz contest organised for L&T Heavy Engineering
will confirm this. Engineers across different locations competed
furiously to win. Ditto the ICONS Awards. As part of Hydrocarbon

ceremonies were held, at Powai and Vadodara, where winners in
team and individual categories received top honours, witnessed
by colleagues and family (details inside).

communicators we understand the value of timely and effective
engagement with the media. Besides allowing us to articulate
our goals and strategies as an organisation, interaction with
the press often provides our leadership with crucial input for a
more accurate assessment of ground realities. One such event
was L&Ts meet with the press just before DEFEXPO 2014 held
earlier this year in New Delhi. The informal event made for
a high-quality exchange between L&T and the capitals top

We live in a share market! Ever stopped to think how frequently the word share crops
up these days as we use every medium within reach to share our experiences, share
our emotions, share our expectations? Naturally, technology platforms must keep
pace. And so the bright, young minds of our Corporate IT got together to come up
with a newer avatar of our employee communication portal. It has added functionalities,
enhanced aesthetics and, yes, it helps you share your views with more of your
colleagues than ever before. Excitement awaits!

up will indicate the image type and size. If the size is above 1.5 MB, one is sure the image is of high resolution. Next, right
click on image, select Properties in the dialogue box and click Summary tab and then Advanced button. Youll see many
image parameters. Out of that, if you find width & height around: 7x5 (1400x1000 pixels), and Horizontal Resolution
and Vertical Resolution above 200 dpi, you are sure that the image will have good reproduction in offset printing.
