JOB OPPORTUNITIES
The State University of Zanzibar (SUZA) is the only Public University in Zanzibar established
by Act No. 8 of the House of Representatives of 1999 which was amended by Act No. 11 of
2009 and reamended by Act No. 7 of 2016. Since its inception in 2002 it has been expanding in
academic programmes as well as student enrolment. Its vision is to be the most preferred
University in the Eastern Africa.
SUZA invites applications from suitably qualified and competent Tanzanians to be considered to
fill the following vacant posts.
Qualifications
i) Holders of Advanced Diploma/Degree in Accounting.
ii) Three years experience in accounting duties in Public Sector and possession
of Professional level II or Module C and D are added advantages.
iii) Should not exceed 45 years by July, 2017.
iv) Applicants should possess very good command of English language.
v) Basic skills in Microsoft Office Application, Excel, Spreadsheet database,
Tally, QuickBooks and other packages.
i) Assists in the daily routine beats around the campus so as to maintain peace and
order.
ii) Safeguards property (assets) of the University.
iii) Performs other University duties and responsibilities as may be assigned to him/her
by senior officials.
Mode of Application

o Presentation of forged academic certificates and other information in the CV will
necessitate to legal action.
o Applicants under Public service employment MUST forward their application letters
through their respective employers.
