This list represents parties of naval soldiers for ship-to-ship boarding actions and land-based raids like those lead by
Captain John Paul Jones throughout the war. It could also be used as a naval contingent commadeered from ships for land battles
or port defense duty. The quality of the marines varies according to the period of the war.
