Background:

Nepal Telecom launched various Value Added Services (VAS) to the
customer to access different services related to Entertainment, Sports,
Knowledge, Education and many more. As a global trend the VAS
service is the major source of alternative revenue streams and retain
customer by creating a basis for differentiation. To broaden revenue
based and sources NT is adopting open market and free market policy
to select the VAS service provider in the revenue sharing business
model. Despite the open door policy to VAS provider NT has not able
to increase revenue share from VAS services. NT need to explore new
areas and sector in VAS service to retain customer and broaden the
revenue sources. To find the new area, global trends and innovative
VAS business model NT should organize a workshop by inviting
various national and international VAS providers, so that NT can
develop proper business strategy to adopt for the future.

Analysis:
Currently, NT is working on partnership with ..number of VAS service provider to
providing various VAS services.

Discussed & Agreed:

1. NT should organize a VAS conference/meet on march end 2017.
2. was agreed to launch 4G/LTE service for GSM Prepaid customers of Kathmandu &
Pokhara valley on the occasion of 13th NT Anniversary,.
3. The subscriber who registered 4G service shall get 400 MB data free of cost and will be
allowed to use 100 MB data per day for four days.
4. *444# USSD code shall used for 4G/LTE registration and the offer shall be effective from
22nd Magh and valid till 29th Magh 2073.
5. Necessary configurations shall be done from concerned technical teams of CRTB, ITMS
and GSM core.
