PELAN OPERASI AKTIVITI PERSATUAN BAHASA INGGERIS 2016

ACTIVITY : DRAW THE STORY

OBJECTIVE : 1) To enable students to comprehend reading based on own level of proficiency

2) To enable students to read in a non-threatening environment

3) To make use students multiple intelligence (drawing) in assisting learning

4) To create fun in learning

TIME : 1 HOUR 30 MINUTES

TARGET : SOCIETY MEMBERS

PROCEDURE DURATION
1 Students are given a reading text to be read. 20 minutes
2 Students draw the story. 40 minutes
3 Students talk about each others drawing in a Q&A session 20 minutes
4 Students display the product 10 minutes

Enrichment : To make it more challenging, the choice of reading text should be of one level higher in term of length, complexity of language

and also genre ( Factual reading is more challenging in term of comprehension)

Materials : Drawing block, coloured pencils, water colour, crayon

ACTIVITY : COMMITTEE MEETING

OBJECTIVE : 1 To enable students to get to know members of the English Language Society

2 To enable students to elect the committee members

3 To enable students to discuss on and suggest activities

4 To discuss objectives and rules of the English Language Society

5 To create a sense of responsibility and a sense of belonging to make the society a success

TIME : 1 HOUR 30 MINUTES

TARGET : SOCIETY MEMBERS

PROCEDURE DURATION
1 Students introduce each other 15 minutes
2 Students suggest and elect committee members 30 minutes
3 Students talk about the objectives and rules of the society 20 minutes
4 Students suggest and plan activities 25 minutes

Materials : Registration forms, white board, marker pens
