SERVICE CHARGES for Educational Institutes

w.e.f Financial Year 2013-14

Important: Please add applicable service tax to the following charges.

01. FT-NMR Spectrometer Rs. 300/- per half hour with a minimum of Rs. 300/-sample for ID spectrum (1H,
13C & other nuclei):Rs. 600/- per half hour or part thereof with a minimum Rs.
600/- per spectrum for 2D spectrum for 2D spectroscopy and inverse
experiments,**150/- extra for deuterated solvent other than CDCL2 and D2O.

1H NMR (1D NMR)=Rs. 300. (Solvent CDCL3 or D2O)


13C NMR =Rs. 300 (Solvent CDCL3 or D2O)
2D COSY =Rs. 600.
**For DMSO extra Rs. 150

For both 1H & 13C NMR of the same compound, 50-60 mg SINGLE PACKING should be
sent in 2.0 ml EPPENDORF VIALS and NOT IN PACKETS/POLYTHENE.

MS/MS) MS/HR-MS.

**Consumable charges @ Rs 150/- will be charged per sample for sample


preparation.

Note: Visiting Charges: Rs.750/- per visit per Lab (Those who wants to visit the labs of the CIL Department (Internal and

Note:
1. The analytical data/spectra are provided only for research/ development purposes. These cannot be used as
certificates in legal disputes.
2. Service charges are payable in advance by crossed bank draft in favour of The Director, Sophisticated Analytical
Instrumentation Facility, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Payable at Chandigarh.
3. Samples and payment should be sent preferably in the same cover. Separate samples should be sent for different
analysis. Samples will not be analyzed until payment is received.
4. In all correspondence related to analysis our reference number must be mentioned.
5. Radioactive material should be clearly mentioned and handed over personally.
6. Unstable and explosive compounds are not accepted for analysis.
7. Discounted price is rendered to only those users who regularly give us feed-back about the end-use of the results,
e.g. thesis, patent, proves, publication etc.
8. Research fellows and students are advised to send their application and samples through their Supervisor or Head of
Department to avail the discount.
9. Interpretation of spectra is not undertaken normally. In special cases this service can be provided on payment of
extra charges.
10. As per the recent decision of FMC committee it is mandatory for user of SAIF facility to acknowledge the facility in
their research work and communicate the same to SAIF Chandigarh for onward communication to DST, New Delhi.
This condition is necessary for availing discounted educational institute price for educational Institutes.
