ME6512 CERAMIC SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

ME6512 CERAMIC SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

Course Outcomes
CO1: To acquire knowledge on the ceramic crystal structures and glasses/silicates.

CO2: To familiarize the concept of defects in ceramics, defect equilibria and its role on the
thermodynamics and kinetics. Also develop the ability to understand phase diagrams.

CO3: To study the various ceramic processing techniques and theory of sintering.

CO4: To study the mechanical, optical and dielectric properties of the ceramics.
