Theme : World of Knowledge Focus : Listening and speaking

Language Year Objective : By the end of the lesson pupils will be able to,
2 i. answer two simple Wh-questions

TLA : Jazz chant, question strips
Activities :
1. Pupils recite a jazz chant with guidance.
2. Pupils answer teachers questions verbally. (e.g. What class are you in? Who is you class teacher?)
3. Pupils listen to the dialogue and repeat after teacher. (TB 2)
4. In groups, pupils role play the dialogue.
5. Pupils listen and follow teachers instruction. (e.g. stand up, line up, raise your hand)(Remedial)
6. Pupils listen to the sentences and tick the correct pictures. (AB 1)(Remedial)
7. Pupils listen to the questions and complete the answer with guidance. (AB 1)

5. Pupils read the phrases and copy the answer to complete the speech.(AB pg 4)(Remedial)

Activities :
1. Pupils pick and paste the words with /ch/ sound in a circle map.
(e.g. Charlie, ship, chessboard, shop, chin, chip)
2. Pupils read aloud the words.
3. Pupils read the jazz chant after teacher.
4. In pair, pupils find the words with /ch/ sound in the jazz chant.
5. Pupils recite the jazz chant with teacher.
6. Pupils practice reciting the jazz chant in group and perform it in the class.
