About His Oneness:

Can somebody imagine that only one being sustains and created everything in Heaven and
on Earth? He is of imaginable resources and could sustain countless creations, quadrupling
trillions over! Yet God is the only who does not depend on any of His creations for support.
Imagine a planet that hosts only one being without a partner or co-inhabitant. The world
would lose meaning to the lonesome being in spite of the riches and luxuries the planet may
contain. Allah is no man or emotional being that needs cohabitation; hence, loneliness is not
applicable to Him on the exalted Throne of Glory. There is no boredom in the palace of His
royalty; there is no inactivity in His domain since He creates, generates, and sustains life each
second. Yet in His oneness and solitude, strengthened with ability, He delegates authority (as if
He needs assistance whereas He is more than able) and He constitutes exalted assemblies (as if
He needs the consensus of those beings He created). It takes a supreme unique being empowered
by self and limitless ability to show restraint and mercy when challenged by non-entities. It is
therefore mysterious that in spite of Gods glory and power, standard and greatness, knowledge
and wisdom, richness and grace, indispensability and authority, He employs angels, men, and
unknown beings in the dispensation of His will when He could do it all alone. Indeed, it can only
be God and none else who would act with such unique gregariousness and magnanimity when in
fact He is the most holy, intelligent, and able. The One and Only is therefore an endless
similitude in terms of uniqueness and all themes that have to do with indispensability. God is the
One and Onlythere is no one like Him!
