Target language: Questions with the Simple Past (- verb to be)

Procedures:

1st: Elicit verbs of activity with the first 3 slides of the PowerPoint Presentation.

2nd: (Target: Yes-no questions with Did)

“Find someone who…” Elicit Yes/No questions and answers. They have to write the name of the
person who answers yes or no according to the item in their worksheets. Model.

Make it a game: The student who finishes first should sit down and everybody should notice and sit
down, too. If time allows, make them interview the first person that sit down, trying to find out the
names in his/her sheet: “Did Maria go to the museum last year?”

3rd: Tell me more, tell me more (Target: Yes-no questions and Wh-questions with Did)
Prepare them to ask follow-up questions by showing the prompts on the 5th slide of the presentation
and eliciting complete questions.

Model with the other prompts. St-T. Open pairs.

In pairs they interview each other:
