hemisphere rugby union championship.

Stream use the bonus point system common to most other professional
rugby union tournaments.[1] As well as the standard four points for a
win or two for a draw, a team scoring four or more tries during a match
will receive an additional league table point, as will a team losing by 7
or fewer points.[1] Additionally, to ensure that a team winning all of its
five matches (a Grand Slam) will also win the Championship, three
bonus points will be awarded for this achievement.

Thats England v Australia in the November internationals, of course.

Except that after four brutal encounters in the ring this year, the
sparring of the coaches has been as hot a ticket to watch as the rugby.

Eddie Jones, spurned former Wallabies Six Nations Rugby 2017 Live
coach leading an England renaissance, has delivered his old Randwick
teammate Michael Cheika four lessons in on- and off-field tactics this
year. England downed the Wallabies in three straight Tests in June, and
again on the latters spring tour, while Jones demonstrated why a
decade in international rugby and all the accompanying successes and
failures have him at the top of his coaching game.
Now, Cheika and the Wallabies have the opportunity to salvage some
pride after the RFU announced England would host Argentina,
Australia, and Samoa next November. It is a year to wait, but the
Wallabies will play at least nine Tests next season, including three more
bites at the Bledisloe Cup and a first ever Test against Japan on
Japanese soil, before darkening Englands door on November 18.

These block of matches are an important step in our preparations for

the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan and we look forward to playing in
the 2017 series against three tough opponents in Argentina, Australia
and Samoa, Jones said.

The Australian Rugby Union announced a November 4 fixture against

Japan on Thursday. The Japan Rugby Union will pay the ARU a fee to
play at a yet-to-be-announced venue, which will be an important warm-
up fixture for the union in the lead-up to the 2019 World Cup. Australia
last played a Test in Japan in 2009, when the Wallabies lost a Bledisloe
Cup match against the All Blacks 32-19 in Tokyo. It will have been a
decade since the two nations last met in a Test fixture, after the
Wallabies notched a 91-3 win in Lyon, France, at the 2007 World Cup.

Despite the coaching fireworks off the field, the Australia-England clash
is not the fixture the rugby world is waiting for. Now it will not be until
at least 2018 that New Zealands All Blacks pit themselves against the
second best team in the world.
In the meantime, Jones and his captain, New Zealand-born Dylan
Hartley, have been tipped to surpass the All Blacks record 18-match
winning streak.

Unbeaten in 2016, and with 14 successive victories, England begin their

defence of the Six Nations title against France at Twickenham on
February 4, before playing Wales (February 11), Italy (February 26),
Scotland (March 11) and Ireland (March 18). A second successive Grand
Slam triumph would extend their winning run to 19 internationals.

Hansen told New Zealand radio he believed England could clinch the
record.

Theyve got games against Italy and youd expect them to beat Italy
and Id expect them to beat Scotland so theyve then got the Irish
game, the French game and the Welsh game, he told Radio Sport.

Theyll be toughies but we know Six Nations Rugby Live theyre

capable of beating them. They went through last year undefeated so
its there for them to have a crack at.

warren Gatland says he has picked a coaching team that is capable of

hitting the ground running for the tour of New Zealand next summer
after retaining Andy Farrell and Rob Howley from the victorious series
against Australia in 2013.

Gatland has confirmed that Farrell, the former England defence coach
now in the same role with Ireland, and Howell, his deputy at Wales, will
be his respective defence and backs coaches for the New Zealand tour.

Steve Borthwick, the England forwards coach, is the new face in the
coaching set-up after impressing Gatland with his work with England
during their unbeaten year under Eddie Jones.

Gatland, himself a veteran of the 2009 and 2013 tours, believes the mix
of experience will give his side the best chance of defeating the All
Blacks, a feat that the Lions have not achieved since 1971.

I am excited about this coaching team, Gatland said. I said from the
outset it was important to have continuity because we need to hit the
ground running, given the limited preparation time.

In Rob and Andy we have guys who understand the Lions concept,
have worked together and know how to coach a winning Lions team.
Its also important to have some new input. Steve has done a great job
in shaping the England pack and played a major role in their recent run
of success, so Im looking forward to working with him.

Rob Howley

Borthwick, Farrell and Howley will continue to work with their

respective countries through next years Six Nations Championship
before joining up with the Lions ahead of the squad announcement on
Apr 19.

Gatland confirmed that he is also looking to bring in another specialist

coach for the 10 match tour next June and July. Telegraph Sport
revealed on Tuesday that Ben Ryan, who guided Fiji to their gold medal
in the Sevens in Rio, has been under consideration.

We may look to bring in a specialist coach but, fundamentally, this is

the core coaching team we believe can help a talented group of players
win a Test series in New Zealand, Gatland added.
