PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD & MODULES REPAIR FACILITY

Elcome International has an in-house Repairs Facility to test, diagnose and rectify defective Printed
Circuit Boards(PCBs) and modules. Our team of engineers specialise in diagnosing defects and faults in
the PCB/modules to the component level and this as such works out as a cost effective solution. We
have state of the art Digital testing and diagnostic Facility in DIP/Jebel Ali Dubai. We are offering the
repairs to our various customers since the year 2002.

What we do
We provide component level Repair on circuit boards at our Lab.
Elcome has got the required hardware & software tools to tackle
components level repair on single layer and multilayer boards
having both through-hole components and surface mount devices
(SMD).

As a primary function, we do chip level repair for various systems in

Defence, Industrial Automation and Telecommunication industry,
Underwater ROVs, Dynamic Positioning Systems (DP), Marine and
Offshore Equipment. Our strength lies in repair of complex PCBs populated with processors, micro-
controllers, DSPs and those based on analog technology. We can provide these services even in absence
of technical documentations. We also undertake design job for the obsolete components and PCBs
which helps customer from the dictate of OEMs.

This being our core sector we are involved on day to day basis providing complete repair services on
boards/modules for Gas/Oil fired turbines Control system and various Instruments and Control systems.
We also undertake repair on old/obsolete systems still operational in this region. We undertake repair
of such boards and do complete overhaul which in turn protect system from unexpected shutdown and
saves from huge investment on new migration. Our main concern is minimizing the impact on your
plant. Our aim is to prolong the life of your automation part.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Support for obsolete information system hardware used in DCS and other power plant IT system.
We can source old IT product like Hard disk, computers, Tape drives, embedded computers systems.
We successfully replaced obsolete computers used in Plant with new one to one replacement hard
ware with no modification to software or driver.
Manufacturing and Process industry
Repair types include Inverters, DC Drives, Soft Starts, Crane Drives, AC & DC Servos, Spindle and
Stepper Drives, Timers and Sequencer and many more across all manufacturers. Most types of modular
Programmable Logic Controllers and self-contained (Brick) type PLCs are repaired including Processor,
I/O, Interface, Power Supply and Communication Modules. We also undertake repairs to the PLC racks.
Functional testing of Programmable Logic Controllers is made using Test racks and/or input simulation
wherever possible.

We repair single phase and three phase Power Supplies including, Linear, Switch mode, PFC and
Uninterruptible (UPS). A fully functional load test is usually made following the power supply repair.
We also repair various types of Process Control instrumentation including the ones for Temperature,
Pressure, and Level (including ultrasonic) devices, Counters, PLC based Drives and systems.

AUTOMETIC TEST FACILITY
Our lab is equipped with state of the art Board test Equipment (ATE) for testing and verification of
semiconductor devices (IC), populated on simple to highly complex printed Circuit Boards. We have
Incircuit and Functional Board ATE testers offering 99% of confidence level in testing and diagnosis.
We have a growing library of test programs for more than 3000 devices. We target accurate and quick
fault finding of components on Boards & modules.

Test programs for the boards are created during the Test & repair process are backed up in the system
library. It helps us to provide quick turnaround time for the repetitive board repair jobs.

REWORK EQUIPMENTS:

Removal & Replacements of components is one of the final and critical process which decides
the real workmanship in the repair business. We use ESD protected Intelligent Rework
Equipment. Removal and replacement of mixed technology, through hole devices, SMD
(Surface Mount Device) PCBs with packages ex. DIP, SOIC, PLCC, QFP, TQFP. We
undertake Rework on single layer to multilayer board.
