Dear Fr. Bucia:

Greetings! This letter intends to humbly ask for your permission to allow us gather some wood
(Mahogany) located in the wood-rich area near the vicinity of the Josef Baumgartner Learning Resource
Center at the USC Talamban Campus and nearby the newly constructed USC stadium. The Mahogany
that will be gathered will be used in conducting the experimentation for our undergraduate thesis entitled
Effects of cyclone gas regeneration to a wood fueled oven. Our thesis study aims to mitigate the
pollution emitted from local cooking that utilizes wood fuel. We also ask your permission to allow the
chainsaw operator to have the wood be cut into sizes that will be convenient for our experimentation.
Along with me are my colleagues John Rey D. Barcelona, and Johannes Bruce L. de Guzman, and our
thesis adviser Dr. Michael E. Loretero, PhD. We hope for your kind consideration in approving our
