This is the second of a two-semester Calculus sequence. This course covers, Sequences and
Series, Vectors, Partial Derivatives
and Linear Approximations, Maxima and Minima for functions of several variables, Multiple
Integrals, Vector
Calculus, Greens, Gauss and Stokes theorem

Course Learning Outcomes

Math102- Students will be able to:

CLO1: Define two and three dimensional Cartesian Co-ordinate system and make
CLO2: connections between sets of points and equations
Describe limits in two and three dimensions, partial derivatives in two and
CLO3: three dimensions; tangent planes to surfaces; apply concepts of multivariable
optimization
Integrate in two and three dimensions; be familiar with some applications of
CLO4: integration in higher dimensions; solve vector and scalar surface integrals;
calculate triple integrals in Cartesian, cylindrical, and spherical coordinates;
double integrals using Jacobians and changes of coordinates
CLO5: Use the divergence theorem, Greens theorem, Stokes theorem and fundamental
theorem of calculus for integration; calculate gradients and directional
derivatives
work with sequences, series, and power series and determine their convergence
and divergence
