A fresh new graduate student from Staffordshire University with extensive


experience and qualifications in music and audio recording and production. I am
seeking full time work in music and audio connected industries.

Key Achievement: Whilst still a student, started up a business to attract
music/audio post work which achieved University Entrepreneurship scheme
funding. This company had a profitable turnover of £36000.

Communication: The production of written reports and presentations for university has given me
full confidence in communication scenarios. Through running a small business I
have successfully developed my communication skills including a polite phone
manner.

Problem Solving: Solid problem solving skills with both hardware and software have been utilised
whilst setting up and using university and company equipment. Full operational
knowledge of hardware and software technical specifications has been assessed
through university module Studio Technology and is covered extensively in my
dissertation.

Teamwork: Running a business with two fellow students has strengthened my teamwork
abilities to achieve identifiable results. The assessment of many university
modules in groups has formally assessed and strengthened the attributes of
working in a team however I contain the determination to be self motivated and
to act upon the correct initiative.

Organisation: Time management skills in organising events such as band nights and school
music fun days has been utilised and assessed in University modules:
 Events Management for technologists 1
This involved the organisation and running of a successful live music event for
paying students in local venue Legends in Stafford. This secured my knowledge
of health and safety issues and live music production.
 Events Management for technologists 2
This was an audio themed school event at Queen Victoria Primary School
Sedgley. The pupils were introduced to music technology and the principles of
music and sound creation. I hold a current CRB certificate and a clean driving
license.

Through this the use of Microsoft project was heavily utilised for Gantt and
progress chart creation.
Business organisational skills must also be noted for meeting customer
requirements and deadlines.

Interests: Music, audio recording and production are my greatest interests with the
ownership of a small high performance home studio environment with a large
array of instruments and equipment. I also enjoy watching films and playing
computer games and spending time with my friends and relatives.

I have also worked and contributed music and audio for the charity SP8 of the
Art. While supporting pupils at Teagues Bridge School Telford, my work has
been used in both literacy and creative arts events.
